Every few hours, I keep getting this painful tightness/ burning sensation in my throat and usually comes with a headache and I feel sweaty and tired.
It just comes on randomly and disappears overtime.

I remember I few years ago I did have some this allergic reaction, called anaphylaxis or something. I felt exactly the same like I do now, except that time I couldn’t breath and it was horrible.

Hi all. I’ve been having heartburn for around a year now after eating certain foods, especially sweet or greasy or even with any type of spices. Usually I take an over-the-counter pill (whatever I can find) to stop it, sometimes that works, sometimes it doesn’t. A few days ago I heard it could mean that I might have an ulcer in my stomach, is this true? Is it normal to get an ulcer at the age of 25? If yes, anybody know how they test for it? Thanks!

It felt like someone took a lighter and light my throat on fire. It would stop for a few seconds then come back for about 5. It runs all up my esophagus, but is the worst at the top of my stomach and right in my throat. I burp occasionally…. I tried eating saltines, I took gas-x and an over the counter heartburn medication. It has taken the edge off so far, but it’s still there and very uncomfortable. What could this be?

I’ve been moving my grandparents cause there moving into a new House. Well The past 3 days I’ve been getting heartburn and then acid reflux. I keep getting a heaviness in my throat and burp liquid burp and my stomach was cramping for 2 days and stopped hurting last night I’m I sick or is it part of the heartburn and acid reflux? I also am on anxiety medicine I would really appreciate if someone could tell me what’s wrong! Thanks you

Ive been having a little issue from time to time regarding heartburn or acid reflux. Im not sure which one i specifically have, all i know is that i ONLY experience the discomfort whenever i go without eating breakfast; chances are in 2 hours or less ill begin to experience symptoms related to either.

My specific questions are: if my dilemma only occurs when i go without eating breakfast, is it even worth going to the doctor? And do i have acid reflux with heartburn or just heartburn period?

(just to give some more info i experience a burning sensation in my chest whenever this occurs)

Any insight would be appreciated thanks

It don’t feel as if theres actually puke but its the feeling. Its all the way up into my throat and its okay sometimes other times it gets pretty bad. I notice I burp sometimes when I have it but I do that all the time. The difference is is that its cool, like cold feeling. No burning whatsoever! I’m almost 17 weeks

I know it causes MANY problems but Im wondering if its known to also specifically cause heart burn? LIke maybe for a regular smoker?

I’m 23, and not one to really get heartburn or acid reflux very much. I’ve maybe had it a few times in my life, and I don’t eat spicy foods (don’t like them). I got sick 2 days ago (nausea and vomiting) but the vomiting only lasted that one day and it burned like hell the first time I had thrown up that day and I constantly had the hiccups. It’s been a couple of days and the nausea has gone away, so I had some (non-spicy!) chinese food today around 1pm, took a nap around 3:30pm and woke up about 6pm with heartburn and it’s lasted ever since and it’s been almost 4 hours! I’ve even taken pepto bismol and the most it’s done is lighten the pain, not make it go away completely. Is this normal?? I feel like it’s lasting a really long time. I just ate some rice and now I’m regretting that because I want to go to bed soon and I feel like laying down may just make it worse. Lately I’ve been having autoimmune disorder type of symptoms (lupus, specifically) but my blood work is coming up normal. My carbon dioxide and BUN were low, and I’ve been having some lower abdominal and back pain lately so I’m worried about my kidneys although my doctors say I’m fine. I did have an MRI done a while back on my head and spine (checking for MS) and it came out normal, all they saw was some minor arthritis on the right side of my neck so I don’t know if that’s what’s causing the pain or what, but I’m just hoping this heartburn isn’t related! I don’t have any other problems with swallowing or anything. I’m worried about GERD and getting cancer. Ever since I’ve had these weird symptoms pop up over the last month I’ve been a paranoid, stressed wreck. And this heartburn coming on out of nowhere is freaking out me.
*I’ve also had some chest pains lately, but I am a hypochondriac and do suffer from stress and anxiety since my doctors haven’t been able to tell me what’s wrong so It’s become difficult for me to determine what’s really an issue and what’s just from my anxiety. Symptoms come and go weekly. Since it doesn’t feel like it’s getting any better yet I just want to make sure this heartburn thing isn’t just another symptom and is completely separate!
